Dr. Rick Chaille, DVM

Dr. Rick Chaille grew up in Anderson, Indiana, and graduated from Purdue University Veterinary School in 1978.  He practiced at Franklin Animal Clinic for several years, where he learned all about the unique features of Columbus.  He returned to Anderson, and started a solo companion animal practice, which he operated for over 25 years.   During those years, he provided the majority of the spay/neuter services to both the local animal shelter and humane society.  Rick and his wife, Jean, have five children and nine grandchildren.  The youngest kids, sons Jack and J.R., followed in their father’s footsteps, and are both practicing veterinarians in Columbus.  Rick enjoys family time, landscaping, water-skiing, and kayaking.  He especially enjoys pre-dawn kayaking to welcome the sunrise.  


Dr. JR Chaille, DVM

Dr JR was born and raised in Anderson, Indiana. He grew up working for his father and uncle, both small animal veterinarians. He attended Purdue University for both his undergraduate and veterinary degrees. After graduating, he worked at Seymour Animal Hospital for a year, before joining his dad. He and his wife, Dr Justine, have two terriers, Hank and Miles, two cats, Jimmy and Snuffy, and a pet rat, Filbert. JR spends his free time hanging out with family and friends, water skiing, cooking, and target shooting.


Dr. Justine Gullaba, DVM

Dr Justine was born in Honokaa, Hawaii, and raised as an army brat, living all over the continental US and in Italy. While her parents and family have now settled in Seattle, Washington, she met Dr JR during veterinary school at Purdue University, and now calls Indiana home. She earned her Master’s degree at Oregon State University and started working in research, but found her calling in veterinary medicine. She spoils her dogs, cats, and rat, and is certain that their furry family will continue to grow. She enjoys cooking with her husband, running, and reading and listening to books. Her special interests are ophthalmology, surgery, and small mammals/exotics.


Bryan Willment, Veterinary Assistant

Bryan has been a veterinary assistant for over five years after completing a coarse in Veterinarian Assistance Program. After working in both emergency and day practice facilities in California, he moved to Columbus, Indiana where both of his parents reside.  An animal lover, he is a passionate about proper caregiving, with safety and well-being for pets being his main goal.  He has two pets Nuggett, a jack russel, and Mr. Puddington, an orange tabby.  


Jenni Ryan, Veterinary Assistant

Born and raised in the Columbus area, Jenni has always had a love for animals.  Growing up on a farm, she has taken care of a variety of animals, from dogs and cats to goats, sheep and pigs.  At the age of 15 she started working for a local veterinarian, where her love of animals really took off.  She attended nursing school, where she was valedictorian of her graduating class.  She has worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 36 years.  For the last three years, she has also been the Animal Programs Manager at the Bartholomew County Humane Society.  Jenni has two dogs, Juno and Dixie, and two cats, Ren and Stumpy.  She has two children and three grandchildren.
